About Kin Cafe & Homebakes
Kin sits at 282 Nguyễn Công Trứ in An Hải, about a ten-minute walk back from My Khe beach. The building has the bones of a small warehouse: red brick walls, steel roof trusses, skylights and tall arched windows. Out front, a shaded courtyard has long wooden tables. Inside, there's a glass pastry case by the counter and plenty of room to spread out.
The menu reads like a tour of how Vietnam drinks coffee now. Traditionalists get Saigon-style phin coffee and robusta from the machine, including egg coffee and a peanut-cinnamon latte. There's also an arabica espresso bar with a choice of Meiji or oat milk, six cold brews, and Kin's own junbucha, a sparkling ferment of green tea and honey.
Everything sweet comes out of Kin's own kitchen. Cakes and cookies are baked in-house, and the cookies are among the most popular orders. The line at the bottom of the menu sums up the idea: home in every cup.
