La Carolina has the most cafés with Wi-Fi in Quito, followed by La Mariscal and the Centro Histórico. The first is the city's main business district, spread around Parque La Carolina,1 and several of its Wi-Fi cafés keep weekday office hours.
Some cafés pitch themselves at people who settle in. Floyd's Specialty Coffee, at Shyris and Portugal, advertises Wi-Fi, pastries and cocktails as a home away from home, opens every day 08:00–19:00 and welcomes pets.2 Cafetería Modelo, the 1950 cafetería at Sucre and García Moreno, also has Wi-Fi.
Local tip: For a long session after dark, Saca la Resaca on República de El Salvador and Tres Gatos on José Tamayo both have Wi-Fi and stay open until 22:00, Monday to Saturday.
Where these cafés are: La Carolina (11), La Mariscal (6), Centro Histórico (5), La Floresta (3), La Coruña & González Suárez (2), Iñaquito & El Batán (1).
