Medellín sits at 1,495 meters in the Aburrá Valley, and its mild weather earned it the nickname la Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera, the City of Eternal Spring. The average temperature is about 22 °C.1

On a terraza (outdoor terrace), the weather to plan for is rain, not heat. The city gets about 2,238 mm a year. November is the wettest month, with around 327 mm, and August the driest, with about 53 mm. October has the most days with rain, about 19.5, and January the fewest, about eight.1

Local tip: From October to November, ask for a table under the overhang: those are Medellín's rainiest months, while January has the fewest wet days.1
