Seefeld is a quarter of Kreis 8 that belonged to Riesbach until 1893. It has about 5,800 residents, and roughly 72 percent of its 2.42 km² is Lake Zurich.1 The Quaianlagen park follows the shore past Riesbach harbor, the Seefeldquai and the Blatterwiese, with the Pavillon Le Corbusier and the Chinese Garden, opened in 1993.1

The lake promenade runs about 3 km from Bellevue to Tiefenbrunnen, and on sunny days thousands gather on the meadow halfway along.2 Inland, cafés line Seefeldstrasse and Dufourstrasse, and several bakery-cafés open before 07:00.

Local tip: Kornsilo is busy and loud on Sunday mornings, so book its Sunday brunch ahead.3
