The Marolles and the Sablon have the most cafés with Wi-Fi, ahead of the streets around the Grand-Place and Saint-Gilles. Where a café has no network, the region runs a free one, wifi.brussels, with more than 200 hotspots: you pick it from the list, register with a phone number and an SMS code, and the account then works for a year.1
A few cafés are set up for longer stays. Jackie, at Chaussée de Charleroi 203 in Saint-Gilles, has a coffee salon on the ground floor and a coworking space upstairs, and its owner Gilles set it up in 2021 around independent journalism.2 Girl with the Passport found it quiet, with strong Wi-Fi, in 2023, when a coworking session was paid and came with two drinks.3
Local tip: For a full working day, use the coworking floor upstairs at Jackie, Chaussée de Charleroi 203; away from the cafés, the free wifi.brussels network needs a phone number to sign up.

Two Wi-Fi cafés face each other on Rue de Namur (Naamsestraat), JAT' at number 28 and Golden Bean across the street. Both start at 08:00 on weekdays and 09:00 at weekends, and JAT' also has air-conditioning.
Buddy Buddy, which visit.brussels describes as a peanut butter and coffee bar, has Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and outdoor tables on Rue des Drapiers (Lakenweversstraat), and serves until 19:00 every day.4 La Fabrique en Ville on Boulevard de Waterloo (Waterloolaan) keeps shorter hours, 09:00–15:00 on weekdays and to 15:30 at weekends. TICH and Crème, both near the Sablon, have Wi-Fi as well.
Black Potion Coffee, the micro-roastery at Rue du Midi 43, has Wi-Fi, a terrace and step-free access a few streets from the Grand-Place.4 Corica, a coffee merchant since 1902, also has Wi-Fi at its shop at Rue du Marché aux Poulets 49, open Monday to Saturday.4
My Little Cup on Rue de la Croix de Fer opens at 07:30 on weekdays; in 2023 a latte there started at €4.25.3 Kaffabar on Place Rouppe has Wi-Fi too, but closes on Sundays and Mondays, and Bigg Cake on Rue de l'Écuyer opens daily 08:30–18:30.

Further south, Yao is known for Taiwanese coffee and opens at 08:30, though not on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.4 Onyx has Wi-Fi from 06:00 to midnight every day.
Most of these cafés close by 19:00, so evening work means a café-bar. The Sister Brussels Café on Rue Chair et Pain serves until 23:00, and until midnight on Saturdays. Café De Markten near Place Sainte-Catherine is open until midnight every day, Café Winok in Schaerbeek until 23:00, and La Renaissance in the Marolles from 07:00 to 23:00.

Choose wifi.brussels in your list of networks, register on the connection page with a valid phone number, and enter the code sent to you by SMS. The account stays active for a year, and the network has more than 200 hotspots across the Brussels-Capital Region, which helps when a café has no Wi-Fi of its own.
Jackie, at Chaussée de Charleroi 203 in Saint-Gilles, has a coffee salon on the ground floor and a coworking space upstairs. It opened in 2021 around independent journalism. In 2023 a coworking session was paid and included two drinks, and visitors described the café as quiet with strong Wi-Fi.
