Accra sits on a stretch of coast that gets relatively little rain,1 and across Ghana days average about 30°C and nights 24°C, with relative humidity of 77–85%.2 Annual rainfall in Ghana ranges from 78 to 216 cm, and the coast from Accra east toward Togo is a savannah tract at the dry end of that range.21
Osu and Airport Residential have the most cafés with outdoor seating, ahead of Labone and East Legon. Kukun in Osu and Theia Coffee House in Airport Residential both serve in gardens, while MilkBox Café in Labone and Dough Man Foods Xcafe in East Legon pair patio tables with Wi-Fi.
Local tip: Between April and June, when the main rains fall, pick MilkBox Café in Labone: it has outdoor tables and an air-conditioned room to move into.2
Where these cafés are: Osu (3), Airport Residential & Airport City (2), East Legon (1), Labone & Cantonments (1), Jamestown & Old Accra (1).

Southern Ghana has two rainy seasons, April to June and September to November.2 From the end of November to the middle of March the harmattan blows: a dry, dusty northeasterly wind from the Sahara, its name related to the Twi word haramata, whose haze can block the sun for days.3
The harmattan lowers humidity and clears cloud cover, and its dryness has earned it the nickname "doctor wind", a relief from the heavy tropical air.3 World Travel Guide rates October to April as the best time to visit, with lower humidity, mostly dry weather and fewer mosquitoes.1
Evenings outdoors come with mosquitoes all year. The CDC lists malaria transmission throughout Ghana and recommends a repellent with 20% or more DEET, plus long sleeves and long pants.4
Kukun on Koi Street has a large garden beside its ground-floor café and bar, and it is open every day from 07:00 until 22:00.5 Spark Magazine mentions art installations as well as the garden and calls the Thursday Lates evenings a fan favorite; the café also has Wi-Fi, and its drinks run to juice, mocktails and milkshakes as well as coffee.6
Spark Magazine describes Theia Coffee House on John Churcher Loop as a garden café with a following among students, artists and locals looking for a quiet table; its menu suits the heat, with cold frappes alongside café lattes and hot tea.6 Back in Osu, Breakfast to Breakfast, just off Oxford Street on Dr. Esther Ocloo Street, sets out tables outdoors too.
When a shower blows in, a café with a room behind the patio helps. MilkBox Café on Ndabaningi Sithole Road in Labone has outdoor tables, an air-conditioned room and Wi-Fi.
D Cafe in Airport Residential runs its bakery counter beside outdoor seating; an iced coffee costs GH₵50 and an iced latte with almond, soy or oat milk GH₵60, and hot chocolate GH₵45.7 Its iced tea is also GH₵50, an option for anyone skipping caffeine in the afternoon heat.7
In East Legon, Dough Man Foods Xcafe on La Bawaleshi Road adds outdoor seats and Wi-Fi to a bakery best known for artisan doughnuts.8
