Late coffee in Naples clusters in three places: the Mergellina end of the seafront, Piazza Trieste e Trento by the Plebiscito, and the streets around Piazza Bellini in the Centro Storico.
Closing times are also a matter for City Hall. On 13 October 2026 Mayor Gaetano Manfredi signed a trial ordinance for the busiest nightlife zones, valid from 16 October to 16 November, with fines of €25–500 and, for repeat offenders, suspensions of 1 to 30 days or the loss of the license in the worst cases.1
Local tip: On a Saturday, the latest coffee by the sea is at Chalet Casa Infante e Leopoldo on Via Caracciolo, open until 03:00; Monidee by the Plebiscito keeps the same hours.
Where these cafés are: Centro Storico (5), Toledo & Quartieri Spagnoli (4), Mergellina & Posillipo (3), Municipio & Porto (2), Vomero & Arenella (1), Fuorigrotta & Bagnoli (1).

Chalet Casa Infante e Leopoldo, at Via Caracciolo 1, has the latest weekend hours on the seafront: 06:00–02:00 from Sunday to Thursday and until 03:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. The pedestrian promenade toward Castel dell'Ovo, about 2.5 km long, makes it an easy walk afterwards.2
On the hill above, Bar Miranapoli on Via Petrarca opens daily 07:00–01:30, and Gran Caffè Cimmino at Via Petrarca 147 until 23:00. Chalet delle Rose and Chalet Cimmino stand on the same stretch of Via Caracciolo.
Monidee Cafè, at Piazza Trieste e Trento 6, keeps the longest hours by the Plebiscito: 06:30–02:00 on weekdays and until 03:00 at weekends. Gran Caffè Gambrinus closes at 23:00, as does Blanco at Via Toledo 66.
Inside the Galleria Umberto, Anna Bellavita serves until 22:00. Toward the port, Il Pomodorino at Corso Umberto 1/3 stays open until midnight, and Zero, at Via Giuseppe Verdi 8, serves specialty coffee until 22:30, or 23:30 on Saturdays.
Volta, at Via Bellini 30, opens daily until 02:00. Libreria Beriso, on Via Port'Alba, closes for the afternoon from 13:30 to 17:45 and then stays open until 01:00. Intra Moenia on Piazza Bellini fills its evenings with concerts, poetry readings and night tours of the old center.3
Taralleria Napoletana opened its workshop at Via San Biagio dei Librai 3 in 2017; the family business goes back to the 1940s, when Leopoldo Infante, a young apprentice, married a baker's daughter.4 Its taralli 'nzogna e pepe, rings made with lard and pepper, began as cheap 17th-century tavern food and are now an aperitivo snack.4 The workshop stays open until midnight on Fridays and 01:00 on Saturdays, and the company also runs a café at Piazza San Domenico Maggiore 18.4
Nearby, Cuccuma Caffè serves until 22:00 and Bruno's café and drinks until 22:00, Monday to Saturday.
The October 2026 ordinance names zones in five boroughs: Chiaia's baretti, Via Filangieri and Via Petrarca; the Quartieri Spagnoli, the old center and Via Bellini; Viale dei Pini and Viale dei Tigli; Piazza Vanvitelli and Via Scarlatti in Vomero; and Via G.B. Marino, Via Lepanto and Via Cariteo in Fuorigrotta.1 In all of them, bars must shut by 01:00 from Sunday to Thursday, 02:00 on Fridays and 03:00 on Saturdays.1
In Fuorigrotta, Croupier Bar opens 08:00–02:00 on weekdays and from 18:00 at weekends.
By area: Municipio & Porto Centro Storico Toledo & Quartieri Spagnoli Vomero & Arenella Mergellina & Posillipo
In the zones named by the trial ordinance, valid from 16 October to 16 November 2026, bars must close by 01:00 from Sunday to Thursday, 02:00 on Fridays and 03:00 on Saturdays. Fines run from €25 to €500, and repeat offenders can be suspended for 1 to 30 days.
