India's café chains sold internet access almost from the start. When Café Coffee Day opened its first outlet on Bengaluru's Brigade Road in 1996, it copied a Singapore store where customers drank beer while online, and charged ₹20 for a cappuccino, a steep premium at the time.1 The connection was part of the pitch: a place to stay and socialize rather than just buy a drink.1
In Mumbai, Bandra West and Andheri West have most of the cafés with Wi-Fi, close to seven in ten between them, with single options in Khar, Juhu, Girgaon and Bandra Kurla Complex. Hours stretch from a 06:00 start in Girgaon to 02:00 on Chapel Road.

Where these cafés are: Bandra West (5), Andheri & Versova (4), Girgaon & Grant Road (1), Khar & Santacruz (1), Juhu & Vile Parle (1), BKC & Bandra East (1).

Bandra: Pali Mala Road and Chapel Road
The Bagel Shop at 30 Pali Mala Road dates from early 2006, when Matan Schabracq and Anil Kably walked past a run-down bungalow, looked into its garden and signed the lease within a week.2 The plan was a breakfast place for bagels and bagel sandwiches, and the owners say it also welcomes dogs.2 It opens 09:00–22:30, is smoke-free and has Wi-Fi.
Ettarra, at 36 Chapel Road, opens at 07:00 and closes at 02:00. The brand presents itself through South Indian coffee rituals, describing coffee as nostalgia, warmth and comfort in a cup.3
Mokai, also on Chapel Road, runs 09:00–21:00 and takes cards. Vidhi on D'Monte Park Road Extension adds air-con, outdoor tables and card payment from 11:00 to 23:00, and foodstuffs on Munjra Street opens 10:00–21:00 with takeaway.
Andheri West, Juhu and Khar
Andheri West's Wi-Fi cafés sit in residential lanes. Cafe Aloha at 4/12 Sant Gadge Maharaj Marg opens 09:00–21:00, and Cafe Pefe in Clanfield Society on Ashok Academy Lane is air-conditioned and open 11:00–23:00. The Backyard Brew, in Poseidon Apartment, has outdoor tables as well, and so do Cafe Aloha and Cafe Pefe, so on dry evenings you can stay online at a table outside. Cafe Pefe is the late option of the three.
In Juhu, The Dream Cafe on Hanuman Cross Road 2 opens Monday to Saturday, 09:00–20:00. In Khar, Cafe Montana on Guru Narayan Marg serves brunch and stays open until 22:00.
BKC and Girgaon
Bandra Kurla Complex, in Bandra East, is a planned business district that houses the National Stock Exchange, SEBI, the Bharat Diamond Bourse and the US consulate.4 My Little Tea Pot there opens 09:00–21:00 with Wi-Fi.
In Girgaon, bombay bites on A N Surve Marg (Umerkhadi Road) opens at 06:00 and closes at 22:00, with outdoor seats as well as Wi-Fi.
Working from a Mumbai café
District's 2026 guide to work-friendly cafés in Mumbai advises checking opening hours, seating, Wi-Fi, power outlets and noise before you go, especially if you plan a long stay or calls.5 Outlets vary from café to café, so ask before you settle in.5
Barista Magazine's 2026 Mumbai guide found the newer coffee bars working as community hubs and creative spaces as much as places to drink coffee.6
