Maharashtra's government ruled on 1 October 2025 that shops, restaurants, eateries and theatres may stay open 24 hours, every day, provided each employee gets a continuous 24 hours of rest a week.1 Anything that sells liquor, from beer bars to permit rooms, stays on restricted hours, which matters for cafés with a bar at the back.1

Most late cafés still close between 22:00 and 23:30. Bandra West has about a third of them, ahead of Andheri and Juhu, and a few run much later: Ettarra on 36 Chapel Road until 02:00, Light House Cafe on Dr Annie Besant Road in Worli until 01:30, and Engine Espresso on Lokhandwala Back Road, which opens at 19:00 and closes at 00:30.

Local tip: Coffee-hopping in Bandra after 23:00? Finish at Ettarra on Chapel Road, which serves until 02:00, after most of its neighbors have closed.

Kala Ghoda Cafe at 10 Rope Walk Street serves until 23:45.
