Doha keeps late hours because of the heat. July's average high is 42.4 °C and even its nights average 32.1 °C, and from May to September daily highs stay above 39 °C.1 In the hot months, evening is when people go out, and the cooler night air pulls crowds to the Corniche, Souq Waqif and the waterfront.2
Thursday night and the Friday–Saturday weekend run latest, with some kitchens and lounges open until 02:00 or 03:00.2 Most of the late cafés are on The Pearl, with others in Al Sadd, West Bay and Al Aziziya, and some never close.
Local tip: On Thursday nights, reach the busiest karak windows before midnight, when parking near them starts to fill up.

Karak stops often stay open into the early hours, and some never close.2 Drive-through ordering is common at the popular ones, and parking near the busiest windows fills up after midnight.3 The karak comes sweet unless you ask for less sugar, and roadside kiosks are easiest with small cash.3
During Ramadan, avoid eating or drinking in public in daylight fasting hours and check opening times, which change for the month.4 Many venues open after iftar and stay busy until suhoor, the meal before dawn, which makes Ramadan the peak season for late nights in Doha.2
From January 2025 the last Doha Metro trains ran at about 01:00, every day of the week.5 After that, a taxi or a private car is the practical way home.3
