Breakfast in a Tbilisi café often mixes Georgian staples with a brunch menu. Matsoni (მაწონი), a fermented milk of Armenian origin made in both Armenia and Georgia, and a protected geographical indication in Georgia since 24 January 2012, turns up under the poached eggs at Red Man Cafe, whose "Breakfast and Brut" menu pairs the meal with sparkling wine.12

Rustaveli & Mtatsminda and Vake have the most breakfast and brunch cafés, ahead of Vera and Old Tbilisi & Sololaki. The cheapest option is the bakery: a bakery breakfast cost about ₾5 in May 2026.3

Georgian breakfast from the bakery

Khachapuri is leavened bread shaped and filled with cheese, sometimes with egg as well.4 In May 2026 a round Imeruli khachapuri cost ₾5–8 and a boat-shaped Adjarian ₾10–14.3 Georgia celebrates National Khachapuri Day every 27 February.4

Puri Guliani bakes its khachapuri to order, alongside sandwiches and croissants.5 In Saburtalo, Salty on Platon Ioseliani Street, a bakery café with outdoor tables, serves brunch from 10:00 to 20:00.

Eggs, porridge and brunch plates

CO:CO Coffee Collective on Gudiashvili Square serves egg dishes, roasted potatoes, sweet or savory porridge and toast, with coffee made on Shavi beans.6 Baho in Saburtalo does breakfast platters and pancakes as well as shakshuka.6 OKRO in Vera has a full breakfast menu with savory quiches, and Pulp runs a weekly breakfast special.2

Lui's 2026 menu prices shakshuka at ₾17.90, poached eggs with bacon at ₾21.90 and a berry smoothie bowl at ₾38.90.7 Its children's menu has porridge and syrniki, the fried curd-cheese pancakes.7 Red Man Cafe serves breakfast all day, with V60 and Chemex coffee and pastries baked in-house.6

Early openers

Lui on Chavchavadze Avenue never closes, so breakfast there can start at any hour. Café Stamba serves an early breakfast with smoothies and freshly pressed juices.5 Cityhikers, in Deda Ena Park, serves breakfast all day.6 Café Stamba also builds seasonal menus around produce from the Georgia Farm Association.5

From 08:00, Hello Breakfast on Zandukeli Street and OKRO in Vera, Coffee Line near Sameba in Avlabari and SPOT by Chiti on Vano Sarajishvili Street are all open. Unity Bistro in Saburtalo opens at 08:00 from Monday to Thursday and on Sundays, and at 09:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. In Vake, Pause and Sash serve brunch from 09:00, Sash with outdoor tables on Bazaleti Street.

Coffee Line in Avlabari makes its coffee with Coffee LAB beans and has a courtyard as well as a terrace.6

Brunch days and closing days

Several brunch cafés keep irregular weeks. Chaduna on Galaktion Tabidze Street opens 09:00–23:00 from Tuesday to Sunday but only until 15:00 on Mondays, Slink Cafe on Aghmashenebeli Avenue closes on Mondays, and Enthusiasts on Kote Marjanishvili Street opens only on Mondays and from Thursday to Sunday, 12:00–20:00.

Café Sololaki on Lermontov Street serves 10:00–18:00, and Kartli Joys, with branches on Chavchavadze and Aghmashenebeli avenues, 10:00–19:00.
