Open late cafés in Tbilisi

24-hour espresso in Vake and Sololaki, midnight bars on Atoneli Street and cafés open past 01:00.

Tbilisi keeps late hours, and many of its cafés turn into bars after dark. BNKR on Atoneli Street runs an evening service called BNKR. After Six, with Negronis and a cro burger.1 The 24-hour options include Lui on Chavchavadze Avenue and several branches of the Green Coffee chain, one of them at the Central Railway Station.1

Rustaveli & Mtatsminda and Vake have the most cafés open late, ahead of Old Tbilisi & Sololaki and Saburtalo. The latest regular closing time belongs to Dante in the old town, at 04:00, and Insta Coffee on Bolo Aghmarti and 8 O'clock on Budapest Street in Saburtalo never close.

Local tip: Once the metro stops at midnight, book a Bolt rather than flagging down a street taxi; the app fixes the fare before you ride.4

Getting home

The metro stops at midnight and starts again a little before 06:00; a ride costs ₾1, and the card lets you re-enter free within 90 minutes of leaving.2 After that, use a taxi app: Sakhva Travel recommends Bolt, and tipping is not customary on Bolt or Yandex Go, since the fare is fixed in advance.34

The cable car from Rike Park to Narikala runs until midnight in summer; from 1 November 2025 it closed at 22:00 for the winter.5

Past midnight around Rustaveli

On Rustaveli Avenue itself, the Rustaveli café at number 20 serves until 02:00. Farina at Merab Kostava 21 opens at noon and closes at midnight from Monday to Thursday, at 02:00 on Fridays and Saturdays and at 01:00 on Sundays. Mary Jos on Pkhovi Street stays open until 01:00.

The Perovskaya streets behind the metro are where bars take over. Mozaika, on two floors of an old building on Vashlovani Street, opens from 18:00 to 02:00.6 Dalood on Akhvlediani and BNKR's bar on Atoneli close at midnight.

Chugureti, Vera and Avlabari

On Aghmashenebeli Avenue, Blanc at number 133 serves until 23:00 and Sapore at number 95 until 22:30. In the Fabrika courtyard Moulin Electrique closes at 01:00, as does Liel on Aghmashenebeli Avenue, and Amo Rame at number 68 at midnight.

In Vera, Zillico on Vasil Barnovi Street is open 12:00–01:00 and Mint until midnight. Across the river in Avlabari, Natra on Samreklo Street serves until 01:00 and the vegan Living & Jagannath until midnight.

Vake and Saburtalo after 22:00

On the west side, Pelamushi on Zakaria Paliashvili Street and Intelligentsia and Uptown Space in Vake serve until midnight, and Bu' Neba 700 on Merab Berdzenishvili Street does the same from Monday to Saturday. In Saburtalo, Break Time on Kazbegi Avenue and Lalu on Viktor Dolidze Street close at midnight, while Délice on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue stays open until 23:00, as does Walkers in Vake.

Smoking after dark

The smoking ban that took effect on 1 May 2018 covers bars as well as cafés and restaurants: a venue that breaks it is fined ₾500, and the fine doubles for repeat offenses.7 Late-night smokers sit outside, because open verandas and terraces were exempted.8
