Warsaw menus spell it two ways, kawa specialty and kawa speciality, and both point to the same thing: named roasters, single origins and filter brewing next to the espresso machine.18 The scene was already well formed by 2015. That summer Daily Coffee News found Ministerstwo Kawy, near Plac Zbawiciela, rotating three or four light-roast single origins from Koppi of Sweden, and Forum, then nearby and now at Elektoralna 11, brewing coffee from Koppi, Warsaw’s Coffeelab and Denmark’s Coffee Collective, with espresso on a Synesso.3
There is no single specialty street. Wola has the most bars, with Praga-Północ and the streets around Wilcza next, and some of the best cups are poured by roasters in the room beside the roastery. Hours are daytime: most specialty bars close between 18:00 and 20:00, Kawiarnia Patio brews until 21:00, and Na Bank Cafe on Plac Bankowy is the late one, open until 22:00.
Local tip: For filter coffee after work, Kawiarnia Patio on Piwna brews V60 and Chemex until 21:00 every day, later than most specialty bars.1

Nothing matches those filters here. See all cafés in Warsaw.
El Cafetero roasts only arabica, with Ethiopia, Colombia, Brazil and Honduras as regular origins and a limited Reserve line of natural, washed and anaerobic microlots; it has cafés on Emilii Plater and Marszałkowska.4 Klaro began as a one-man roastery before opening Klaro Coffee HQ at Joteyki 13 in Ochota, which opens at 07:30 on weekdays.5 STOR, with bars at Tamka 33 and Bracka 18, roasts at ROST and presents it as a roastery built around care for the planet and for growers.7
Out in Włochy, near the airport, Runway Coffee Hub at Komitetu Obrony Robotników 59 works as a coffee co-working space. It hires out roasters, among them a Giesen W15, runs a cupping lab and SCA roasting and brewing courses, and pours its own speciality coffee at the counter.6
Kawałek at Łucka 18 sits between Browary Warszawskie and Fabryka Norblina and is half café, half shop: its shelves carry beans from roasters such as 7g and Runty, and Warsaw orders placed by 17:00 go out the same day.8 It opens at 08:00 on weekdays, with Wi-Fi and tables outside.
Toward Fabryka Norblina, Java Cafe and Uwaga Kawa share the address Żelazna 51/53. Further west, Buno Specialty Coffee at Obozowa 22 stays open until 20:00 every day, and GUD on Karolkowa pairs specialty coffee with a kitchen.
Kawiarnia Patio occupies a courtyard behind Piwna 40/42 in the Old Town, out of sight of the street, and runs breakfast alongside a brew bar: Chemex and V60, and espresso made with Coffee Plant beans.1
Tekla at Andersa 13 in Muranów has been a specialty café since 2024, built around coffee and vinyl records. It is a social enterprise that creates jobs for people at risk of exclusion.9 In Żoliborz, Kredki at Mierosławskiego 29a combines a specialty café with a bookshop, a concept store and a creative space.10 On the Royal Route, Cor Specialty Coffee is at Krakowskie Przedmieście 62.
Prices depend on the address. Tekla’s October 2026 menu lists an espresso at 10 zł, a cappuccino at 15 zł and a flat white or latte at 17 zł.9 In the Old Town, Kawiarnia Patio charges 14 zł for an espresso, 19 zł for a cappuccino and 22 zł for a V60 drip of specialty beans.2
Many of these bars also sell the beans they brew, so a coffee you like can go home with you: Klaro, El Cafetero and Kawałek all run shops of roasted coffee, priced by the bag.458
