Thonglor and Sukhumvit 49

Thong Lo is officially Sukhumvit Soi 55, named after Thonglo Khamhiran, a naval officer of the 1932 People's Party who owned land there.² Once lined with car dealerships and modest shops, it filled with boutiques, restaurants and cocktail bars from the early 2000s, and its Japanese community helped drive a condominium boom.²

The brunch cafés sit on the sois around it. haps - Brunch & More at 46/9 Sukhumvit 49 opens 08:00–18:00, Light Cafe on Soi 49/2 08:00–19:30, and Herringbone at 26 Sukhumvit 53 bakes and serves brunch 08:00–17:00. Rolling Roasters, at 114 Sukhumvit 63 on the Ekkamai side, pairs brunch with specialty coffee from 07:00.

A 2026 café guide names Ekkamai and Thonglor among the city's brunch areas, with a weekend brunch at Karo, and notes that Thonglor gets noisy by mid-afternoon.³ Toby's on Sukhumvit 38 opens 09:00–16:30, Tuesday to Sunday.

Lower Sukhumvit and Sathorn

On lower Sukhumvit, CHI Cöffee & Brunch at 760 Sukhumvit Road opens 08:00–16:00, and Breakfast Story at 593/27 Sukhumvit 33 shares a street with REAL GROCERS at 158 Sukhumvit 33. For a brunch that turns into dinner, Vivin Suk 22 at 267/5 Sukhumvit 22 serves until 22:00 and E-motion until midnight.

In Silom & Sathorn, GROUND Coffee at 22 Soi Sathorn 11 opens 08:00–17:00, Halfway Brunch & Roastery 08:00–16:00, and Letter52 Cafe on Soi Santiphap 1 from 07:00 on weekdays. Old town, Talat Noi and Ari

In the old town, Elefin Coffee is on Maha Rat Road and Buttercoffs Café at 298–306 Tanao Road; Cafe De O'Sha opens 07:00–16:00 and Goodjob 09:30–18:00. In Talat Noi, Hong Sieng Kong (ฮงเซียงกง) adds bakes to its brunch menu, Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00.

In Ari & Phaya Thai, Kay's boutique breakfast is on Si Ayutthaya Soi 4. Ari fills up through the morning, and both Ari and Chinatown tend to cost a little less than Thonglor and Ekkamai.³

Hotel spreads and café hours

Bangkok's other brunch is the hotel Sunday spread. When Time Out surveyed the city's brunches in 2019, hotel restaurants dominated the list, with all-you-can-eat buffets that often came with free-flow wine, cocktail or Champagne packages.⁴

Café brunch keeps shorter hours. Halfway, CHI Cöffee & Brunch and Cafe De O'Sha close at 16:00 and Toby's at 16:30, while 8 Bit House on Soi Phaya Nak keeps going from 07:00 to 21:00.
