Osaka Castle Park covers about 105.6 hectares, the second-largest park in the city, and is reached from Temmabashi, Tanimachi 4-chōme, Morinomiya and Ōsakajōkōen stations.1 Most of the coffee worth planning around sits outside its walls, on the office streets toward Tanimachi and in the park at the old Naniwa Palace site to the south.

SÖT COFFEE opens at 08:00 with about 50 seats across two floors, and MOTO COFFEE keeps two shops next to each other on Hommachi-dōri.27 SÖT takes its name from the Swedish word for sweet, and MOTO began as a place to try tableware.36

Local tip: For a morning at the castle, start at SÖT COFFEE on Otedori at 08:00, then walk to the park. Come back past Tanimachi 4-chōme for MOTO COFFEE once it opens, usually around midday.7
